Downloading Consent Records
Below is a clear, step-by-step guide on how to download consent records from the TRUENDO console.
1. Prerequisites#
- TRUENDO Account: You must be logged in to your TRUENDO Console (e.g., console.truendo.com).
- Correct Website Integration: The website for which you want to download consent records must be properly integrated with TRUENDO.
- Organization/Website Selection: Within the TRUENDO Console, ensure the correct Organization and Website are selected from the dropdown menus at the top of the dashboard.
2. Navigate to “Consent Records”#
- Open the Side Panel: In the TRUENDO Console, locate the left-hand menu.
- Select “Consent Records”: Click Consent Records to access the consent download feature.
3. Select the Date Range#
- Date Range Selection: Use the calendar/date range selector to define the period you wish to download consent records for (e.g., a week, a month, etc.).
- Review Date Span: Confirm the exact start and end dates to ensure you capture the needed timeframe.
4. Generate the CSV Files#
-
Click the “Generate” Button: This will create one or more CSV files containing consent data for each weekly period (these periods are defined in accordance with ISO standards) within your chosen date range.
- Example: If you selected 2 months, you may see about 8 to 9 files (one CSV per week).
- Wait for Generation: TRUENDO will prepare these files automatically. Depending on the length of the date range and the volume of records, this may take a few moments.
5. Download the Files#
- Identify the File(s): Next to each generated week’s record, you’ll see a Download button or link.
-
Download: Click Download next to each weekly CSV file you wish to save.
- You can choose to download them all, or only specific weeks.
6. Matching Consent IDs with Consent History#
- Open the CSV File: Once downloaded, open the file using your preferred spreadsheet or data tool (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
- Locate the Consent ID: Within the CSV, you’ll see various columns, including a Consent ID .
-
Match Consent ID: Use the Consent ID to identify individual consent records or track a single user’s consent changes over time.
- Changes Over Time: Rows tied to the same Consent ID show how consent status may have changed for that user or device.
7. Tips & Best Practices#
- Maintain Data Security: Store downloaded CSV files securely.
- Check Integration: If no records appear, verify that your TRUENDO script is correctly implemented on your site.
- Review Columns: Familiarize yourself with the CSV’s column layout (time stamps, IP addresses if included, categories, etc.) for efficient auditing or reporting.
8. Conclusion#
By following these steps, you can:
- Generate weekly CSVs for any custom date range.
- Download specific weekly periods that you need.
- Match user Consent IDs in the CSV for detailed consent histories.
