Adding Custom Services in TRUENDO CMP
Introduction#
The TRUENDO Consent Management Platform (CMP) now allows users to add custom services that are not already present in the TRUENDO services database. This feature is particularly useful when your website utilizes unique services that require proper disclosure and consent management.
Please note that if you are adding any service, the responsibility of ensuring all information regarding the service is correct is entirely yours. TRUENDO CMP accepts no legal responsibility for any inaccurate privacy-relevant information.
Custom services added are only available on a website-to-website basis. This means that if you have multiple websites within the same organization, you will need to carry out the procedure below for each website on which the custom service is present.
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to create custom services, add cookies and other identifiers, and integrate the custom service into your site.
1. Prerequisites#
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- Access to the TRUENDO Console: You need login credentials with the appropriate permissions.
- Selected the Relevant Organization and Website: Make sure you are working within the correct organization and website in TRUENDO CMP.
- Service Information: Gather all relevant details about the service, including vendor information, data types, cookies, scripts, etc.
2. Creating Custom Services#
Step 1: Check for Existing Services
Before adding a custom service, it's advisable to verify whether the service already exists in the TRUENDO database.
- Action: Search the TRUENDO services database to see if your desired service is listed.
- Reference: For more information on adding existing services, refer to the Adding and Removing Services Guide.
Step 2: Verify Vendor and Data Type
Check if the service's Vendor and the Data Type it collects or processes are already in the TRUENDO database.
- Action: Search for the vendor and data type within TRUENDO.
- Reference: If they are not present, you will need to add them. See the Adding Vendors and Data Types Guide for instructions.
Step 3: Access Object Manager

-
Navigate to Object Manager:
- Click on Object Manager from the panel on the left side of the TRUENDO Console.
Step 4: Create New Service
